Thank you so much! (I’m trying to make the vids look a liltte more professional) =) Yeah, I am actually glad that I didn’t get to do the site. I have a tendency to get involved with too many projects all at, and my family ends up paying for it through my inability to spend quality time with them. So it’s definitely a good thing all around. I just hope that they do end up getting a killer website that allows them to better communicate with their parishioners, and not just one that that looks like thie school site, but doesn’t have much functionality.The Google wave vid will be out on Monday. It’s going to be pretty cool and I will have a lot of resources linked in the blog.. It’s going to be a pretty sweet platform.

Chris is right in all he says. Salvation doesn’t always have a fieelng that goes with it. That’s the test of faith. However, God knows that we humans need to know with our whole beings that he is with us. Why not stop now and thank God for what he has done in you to make you a new person? There is a verse I can’t locate at the moment that says when you pray, thank God for his answer before you receive it. Pray with a believing and expectant heart. Ask him to make his presence real to you day by day, and thank him. I think you will become closer to God because that’s what your heart desires.

You have come face to face with many truths. You no lonegr choose to live in an alternate reality like many of your born-again, evangelical friends, and I suspect family members as well. Has your personal journey not also resulted in a questioning of the Jesus Christ resurrection story, which is truly the very foundation of Christianity itself?Have you been able to hang on to Jesus as savior and Lord while rejecting the o.t. as being the word of God?To me, when I could no lonegr reconcile Yahweh-god to Jesus-god in something called a Holy Trinity, the whole premise of Jesus as the Son of God/Yahweh, sent to die for my sins and bring me eternal life started to fall apart very quickly. IOW, if I reject Yahweh as the creator god of the universe, how do I hold on to Christ as the savior of mankind?I lived in that alternate reality of evangelical Christianity for 30 years, so I very much identify with those still there, especially my sweet family members whom I love dearly. I feel very free, but they just can’t understand how anyone can live or love without Jesus in his heart. I am still the same loving husband and dad/granddad as before, but I just choose to live in the reality that the bible was written by men, not God.newepiphany
