I can’t let this one go. Thanks to Jim for the heads up. Wired Magazine’s American Vice: Mapping the 7 Deadly Sins.

Greed

Lust

Envy

Gluttony

Sloth

Wrath

Pride
And as I mentioned to Jim, who is fond of picking on Texas and Texans, Texas isn’t so bad. We are either in church or in restaurants before and/or after church.

Apparently, we Louisianians are full of lust, wrath, and pride. Looks like I should move to TX!

You would be most welcome, my friend…just make sure you go shopping for larger clothes before you move.

Peter: Rest assured, I don’t skimp on the cuisine! One of the things I love about Louisiana is the food! I must admit, though, I think I was supposed to be born in TX!

There are plenty of bumper stickers thus, “I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as quickly as I could.” I was born here, but I don’t discriminate. I was born into a Christian home, but I didn’t really come to know Jesus until fairly recently, so who am I to judge.

The map for “Lust” seems incorrect. Look at Florida, hanging right out there for everyone to see, and it’s not cited for Lust? Come on!

I think the reason CA and FL aren’t as lustful is because everyone’s already running around half naked, it must lose it’s impact over time (btw, FL has a large retired population, I assume that plays a factor). I’m honestly surprised the north’s not more lustful, with everyone being covered from head to toe most of the time.

When I referred to Florida’s “hanging right out there for everyone to see”, I was not referring to the clothing (or lack of) of Floridians. Rather, I was facetiously alluding to the penile nature of Florida’s geography.

I got it, I was just observing that FL and CA (perhaps the most naked states) are among the least lustful, but still, very clever, Edward.

Peter: I need to get one of those!

Indeed.
