This was something of a shock (especially given the discussion I had with Polycarp):

I knew Jeff was a closet charismatic. I think it is our influence, tc. And perhaps Jeff’s influence that I came out John Piper.

I am not too keen on Piper really. I saw some of his youtube videos the other day and there was one on retirement issues, and I swear he rambled but did really even say anything. Not my cup of tea.
