Next week, my wife and I will be traveling to Redding, CA, for a children’s pastors conference to be held at Bethel Church (where Bill Johnson is pastor).
As I mentioned in an earlier post, my wife is now the Children’s Pastor at our church (Pastor Lolo), so this is officially a business trip, but we will have a couple of days to hang out in San Francisco which should be cool.
I get the impression that Bethel Church is something of a Pentacostal/Charismatic Mecca these days, so the experience should be well worth blogging about. I haven’t quite decided whether I’m going to blog here or on my other blog. I suppose the serious stuff will be posted here, and the not-so-serious stuff will be posted over there.
In any event, it should be a fun getaway (if not quite a true vacation)!

A trip to Bethel Church in Redding, CA, is like a pilgrimage to Mecca with a suitcase full of cotton candy — sweeeeeeeet!
I hope you and Pastor Lolo have a refreshing get away. Be sure to stop by a road side vendor for some fresh fruit on the way up. I think cherries might be in season.

Will do, and since the trip is on your (the church’s) dime, maybe we will have enough to buy more than a little fruit.
